APE Quad System With Four Clamps

Caissons and large diameter piles become undriveable or extractable due to a phenomenon called diamphraming. To solve this problem, APE engineers developed a four way beam and clamp system. The clamps grip the pile every 90 degrees for balanced energy transfer. Side by side tests show that using four clamps mounted 90 degrees greatly reduces diamphraming and increases net amplitude. The APE quad system is vastly superior to the old style X beam which can cause flexing. The quad beam can be divided into two single beam systems for maximum flexibility.
