Cofferdam finished with APE 200-6 in Surinam
For constructing a cofferdam in Surinam, Netherlands Antilles, a major Dutch company needed an APE Model 200-6 vibratory driver. The project started in the end of 2005 and successfully ended in March 2006.
The cofferdam is made for closing down a part of a river crossing trough Surinam for a future bauxite mine. The cofferdam is made out of two parallel sheet pile walls of 550 meters length each. The space in between the sheet pile walls will be filled with sand afterwards.
Because of the excellent performance of the 200-6, the machine was bought for using it on other project sites as well.
